Our research on the Diabetes Prevention Program informed a policy document called the Diabetes Prevention Act of 2009. It was passed into law in the Affordable Care Act, which authorized the formation of the National Diabetes Prevention Program.
I was captivated by the passion and devotion of my colleagues. No matter how difficult, they were determined to make a difference. Working with such people every day shaped my views and interests today.
