We felt there should be an organization to help new as well as experienced fathers better cope with the feelings of uncertainty and pressure that sometimes comes with the anticipation of a new child.

Our research on the Diabetes Prevention Program informed a policy document called the Diabetes Prevention Act of 2009. It was passed into law in the Affordable Care Act, which authorized the formation of the National Diabetes Prevention Program.
