Congratulations to C3EN Mini-Grant Awardee Chuka Nestor Emezue! Dr. Emezue is a certified health education specialist and Assistant Professor at the Department of Women, Children, and Family Nursing at Rush University College of Nursing.
On February 8, 2023, C3EN and West Side United cohosted C3EN’s first town hall at Homan Square. Members of the community, researchers, medical students, and community leaders shared ideas, priorities, and concerns about chronic diseases in their communities in a lively conversation and brainstorming session.
This January, the Pritzker Traubert Foundation awarded Sankofa Wellness Village in West Garfield Park the 2022 Chicago Prize. C3EN Members West Side United and Rush University Medical Center are part of the collaborative leading village development.
